About this book

Twenty Years After follows d'Artagnan and his companions Athos, Porthos, and Aramis two decades after their first adventure. France now faces civil war, with crowds inspired by Oliver Cromwell's actions in England threatening the young King Louis XIV, his regent mother Queen Anne, and Cardinal Mazarin. Mazarin orders d'Artagnan to reunite the three Musketeers to defend the crown. The mission becomes urgent when Mordaunt, the vengeful son of Milady de Winter, pursues the group. The four friends engage in battles across multiple locations—from a duel in London to a confrontation on the English Channel to a final clash in Paris—fighting for the crown's sovereignty and their own honor.
