Heart Bones: A Novel

Heart Bones follows two young adults from different backgrounds as they begin a tentative romance, uncertain of what lies ahead. Beyah Grim has spent her childhood in poverty and neglect in Kentucky. She has earned a full ride to Penn State and is two months away from leaving to start a better life. An unexpected death leaves her homeless, forcing her to spend the rest of the summer in Texas with a father she barely knows. Devastated and eager for the summer to end quickly, she has little interest in Samson, a wealthy and brooding neighbor. Despite their different circumstances, the connection between them is too strong to ignore. Knowing their futures will take them to opposite ends of the country, they agree to keep their relationship casual for the summer. However, neither anticipates how deeply their hearts will become entangled.
