The Academy: A Novel (The Academy Series Book 1)

The Academy follows one drama-filled year at Tiffin Academy, a New England boarding school. On move-in day, the school learns it has been ranked number two in the country by America Today—a seventeen-spot jump that surprises many, given the school's reputation for social rather than academic focus, aging dorms, and last-place sports teams. However, Tiffin offers advantages: an exquisite campus, small class sizes, a dining hall run by an acclaimed New York chef, and frequent parties and events. The celebration is short-lived. A new app called ZipZap begins spreading scandalous blind items across campus, exposing secrets held by students and staff alike. Among those affected are Davi Banerjee, an international influencer; Simone Bergeron, a surprisingly young history teacher; Charley Hicks, a transfer student; and Cordelia Spooner, the school's Admissions Director. As the year progresses, bonds form and dissolve, secrets are shared and revealed, and the lives of Tiffin's community are transformed. The novel presents a contemporary take on boarding school life and marks a new direction for the author.
