Clio Louise Barnes is a stylist and influencer living what appears to be a picture-perfect life, but she carries a secret from childhood: her mother moved her and her sisters into a house she claimed was possessed by a demon. After their parents' divorce, Clio's mother Alex insisted the house was occupied, and even wrote a book about the experience. The courts later removed the children from Alex's custody, and her account was disputed by Clio's sisters. When Alex dies suddenly, the house passes to Clio and her sisters. While her siblings see only childhood trauma, Clio views it as an opportunity for home renovation content. As she begins the makeover and reads her mother's book, Clio encounters evidence that her mother's claims may have had merit. A sinister presence emerges in the house, bringing back buried memories and revealing truths that threaten to unravel Clio's carefully constructed life.
