Pawn: A Chronicle of the Sibyl's War

Nicole Lee has no family, no money, and is trapped in a relationship with a criminal named Bungie. When one of his deals fails, both are taken by a mysterious moth-like humanoid to a strange ship called the Fyrantha. Once aboard, Nicole is assigned to work on one of the ship's maintenance crews. The conditions seem unusually favorable, but she quickly senses something is wrong. When instructed to stop asking questions, she realizes she has discovered something significant. Nicole learns that multiple factions are competing for control of the Fyrantha, and she and her companions are being used as pawns in a larger conflict. Determined to stop being manipulated, Nicole decides to fight back. This is the first book in a trilogy.
