Amanda Kloots reflects on love, loss, and life with her husband, Broadway star Nick Cordero, who died from COVID-19. In March 2020, Tony Award nominee Nick Cordero was hospitalized with what appeared to be severe pneumonia. He and his wife Amanda expected him to recover, as he was a young father in otherwise good health. After a COVID-19 diagnosis, Nick was placed on a ventilator. Amanda shared their journey on social media throughout his ninety-five days in the ICU. When he passed away, the world grieved for Amanda, their infant son Elvis, and the future the pandemic had taken from them. This memoir chronicles Nick and Amanda's life together and his fight for survival—from the confusing early days of illness through searching for hope in doctors' updates to finding solace in Elvis's laughter. Amanda describes how she faced even the most devastating moments with the personal optimism and faith that have defined her life. The book includes sixteen pages of color photos.
