Special Agent Emma Last is aware that her fellow agent Leo Ambrose suspects something is different about her. When a new case emerges, it temporarily diverts his attention from his questions. A bar owner and bartender involved in a secret affair are found shot execution-style after closing. Security footage shows the perpetrator forcing victims to their knees before killing them. A Bible verse is left at the scene, suggesting a religious motivation. The killer's impersonal, self-righteous message indicates more victims will follow.
