Knight is the second book in the Sibyl's War series by Timothy Zahn. Nicole Hammond was surviving on the streets of Philadelphia when she and her partner Bungie were abducted by moth-like aliens and taken aboard a ship called the Fyrantha. Nicole becomes a Sibyl—a human with the ability to communicate with the aliens and their ship. However, her new role creates conflict: competing factions control different sections of the Fyrantha, leaving humans and other sentient beings caught between them. Determined to stop being exploited, Nicole develops a plan to seize control of the ship. To succeed, she must outmaneuver war profiteers and slavers.
