Angel of Europa (Near-Space)

An interstellar research expedition in Jupiter's orbit begins exploring the gas giant's moons, including Ganymede, Callisto, Io, and Europa. Scientists have long speculated about what alien life forms might exist beneath Europa's frozen surface. When two scientists descend to Europa's surface in a small craft piloted by Evangeline Chatelain, an accident occurs. Only Chatelain returns. Her crewmembers suspect her of murder, but she claims the other scientists were killed in an attack by a terrifying space creature. An astronaut assigned to investigate the incident must determine whether Chatelain is responsible for the deaths or whether she has made the greatest scientific discovery in history.
